bowl games?
lets see............there are 32 bowl games..........that is 64 teams to play in theses bowl games..........there are 119 teams in division 1a.that is over half of the teams in div.1a teams to play in bowl games.
my question is...................with that many teams to play in the post season, what is so great about all these bowl games, should there be a playoff instead?i mean more than half of the div1a teams make it to bowl games.
i say either go to a playoff,or limit the # of bowl games, that way it may mean more to the players, coaches, and fans to go to a bowl game.what is ur opinion?i just think that it will add a little more prestige to a bowl game, and may encourage the fans to agree with bowl games a little more.
soonersleddog..........another one of those crying michigan fans..........how many times do i have to say michigan blew their shot, why give them 2 to lose?
yes i know that teams, schools, the ncaa make alot of money, but then again i dont want to be a player and say "yea i went to the lowest bowl game possible and played the worst team possible and won"........see what i am saying?what kind of prestige is in that?

- I think there should be a playoff,b ut the bowls still mean a lot to players and coaches. For coaches of small programs, making a bowl can save their job. But I think they should raise the winning percentage necessary to reach a bowl so better teams make it, not just prestigious programs (FSU).
- the only bowls that matter r fiesta, rose, orange, capital one, sugar, and bcs championship. GO GATORS!
- I think they should definately limit the number of bowl games - it is ridiculous. Not sure about the playoff system b/c a team that is undefeated all year could be beat by a team that has only won a few games all year & be knocked out of the playoffs because of a "fluke game". Next bowl game to be announced will be the toilet bowl I believe.
- Bowl games are a great tradition and losing them would be bad for college football. As long as the money is there we will have this many games. As for the Gator fan. Urban Meyer is a tool. Michigan should be in the Title Game.
- Well I think the NCAA wont limit the amount of bowl games because they get paid alot of money by the sponser of the game. Like, lets just say the tostitos bowl. If they take bowl games away the NCAA will lose more money. But the NCAA to me, is making too much money. I agree there should be less games but thats less money for the NCAA.If you want to have the NCAA to limit there bowl games, dont watch them. So then the sponserer doesn't make that much new customers. That would be the only way. To get LESS vewiers. But ofcourse, don't forget to watch the big bowl games.
- By all means....there definately should be a playoff system. Teams could begin their season playing their conference schedule and then start the playoffs early so that there would still be 10 games on their schedule. (No non-league games...start the playoffs around Nov. 1st) You could still have a national championship game on New Year's Day and everyone would be happy! It won't happen though because the big bowls make too much money and the schools that go to those big bowls make too much money.
