can i use a bluettooth gps receiver for a laptop?
I have a pharos wireless gps receiver. Made for software and mapping programs for Pocket PC. (Streets, directions, north America) My pocket PC is out of commission. I want to utilize the receiver for GPS navigation. Can anyone recommend a generic pc based map program that can work with a gps receiver. I assume that the pharos receiver will work. Maybe not.
Thanks!!!

- Did you look on their website?
- Microsoft MapPoint will allow access to various GPS rdevices assuming they use a standard format. Bluetooth access is unknown to me, but seems likely.Mapquest supports: GPS functionality requires a GPS device that supports NMEA 2.0 or later • A free COM port below 20 required for GPS to the last point, perhaps a bluetooth device that plugs into USB is really what you want.
- It will work from a laptop 2
