  1. Don't know. Sorry
  2. an iPod with GPS? Doubt it... Serious answer - I use and love my Garmin iQue 3600. It's a PDA with GPS reception built in. Comes with a car/dash mount kit and external charger/speaker system too. So you'll have a very good Palm-based PDA, plus great navigation software from Garmin with auto-routing and a screen much larger than, say, a Tom tom. Oh, the iQue plays MP3's as well - buy yourself a 2 GB SDIO card and you can put some maps and MP3s on there and have everything you want in a single unit. The 3600 has been discontinued, but you can still find new ones online and eBay. Check Garmin's web site for the models which have superseded it - some are Palm based, other Pocket PC based.
