I know there is lojack like they use in cars that just expanded to include laptops and stuff. Try that maybe.
Yes. have no Idea what it is called, but it is out there. I know that there are items that are not a chip that do this. I think that if you just want to track something when theft happens, and only have one thing to put it on, you should get a mini GPS device, they can be very small.
