To me, the verichip, could be the mark of the beast. Think about it, if money (currency) is replaced by electronic transactions. The most effective method would be to make it a chip inside the body and if currency is replaced by a chip. How else can you buy or sell?

You only need to worry about that if you are left after the rapture. The Bible clearly says that it is during the tribulation time that people will take the mark of the beast.

Revelations was written in reference to the time of Nero. Back then Nero had put marks on people to seperate them. The book of revelations no longer has bearing in this time frame. It was not written by John the Baptist (hard to write when he lost his head) nor was it written by John the Apostle, since it was written 90 years after Christ's death. That means he would of been 120, impossible to write when you are dead. Besides for me it hold no meaning I am a witch and our goddess doesn't have a "doomsday plan" she would not destroy her creations and children.

When I read the Left Behind series they said the chip would have the number 216. 6 times 6 times 6 equals 216. Now the Left Behind series is fiction so don't put too much faith in my answer. But have you thought of this? That there would be a world war three with the next Hitler, killing all the Christians and the only way to buy\sell is to have the mark of the beast. And that the cause of the war was that some country had found a cure for some incurable disease.
This is On-Star, the tracking device now used in some cars. The idea of somebody coming and eliminating other religions (and saving "you" who thinks merrily about elimination of others!) is not only funny, it is ridiculous and criminal too. The idea that to meet the lord, you have to kill millions of other people makes you a real "antichrist". Remember, violence need not be always real. A mental violence is also a sin. And waiting for antichrist to kill millions (so that christ will come to save) is nothing but mental violence of a sort.

Do you not think for those that have a firm belieif in God that this implant takes away the all important value of trust in God. Also it may not have come up in your answers this was very difficult for me as a young one God allows bad things to happen. May all our children be safe.
