Do you believe that we need to give up our privacy over security?
Its seems that are privacy is almost completely gone. Our USA government can listen to our phone conversations. Look at out bank transactions. Go in to our house when we are not home and take what ever they want, and we never need to know about it. Patriot Act. All our cell phones have GPS in them so they can track us anywhere,so do the new cars. And all this in the name or National Security , do you believe that we have to give up our privacy completely for us to be secure, I strongly disagree. What next installing cameras in our homes , you know that new LCD TVs coming soon will have cells in them that work as camera. So whenever you will watch TV government can watch you. Pick up Maximum PC Magazine if you dont believe me. Than what get all us chipped with RFID so we can be like dogs on the leash. What are your opinions on this?

- The idea of the government spying on me really bothers me. ON the other hand, I am not doing anything illegal or have anything to hide, so I am not "worried" about it. The problem is, there are people who are active in criticizing the government, which is very legal and guaranteed to us under the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, but the government will use the security/terrorism issue to spy on them. So yes, we need to be very diligent and continue to aggressive with the government, or soon maybe it will be like, I dunno, Iran or North Korea . . . . .

- I totally agree with JonnyC & Ben Franklin. I find this whole administration & their thinking quite disturbing.
- The world as we know it is best summed up by an elegiac observation by abolitionist Frederick Douglass: "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them."
- No. There are no reasons to give up privacy. Bush has made Patriotic Act just to curb democracy.
- A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward." Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservative."John Stuart Mill (1806-1873) The radical of one century is the conservative of the next. The radical invents the views. When he has worn them out the conservative adopts them.""Suppose you were a heartless bastard, and suppose you were a Republican, but, .....I repeat myself." Mark Twain "All conservatives are such from personal defects. They have been effeminated by position or nature, born halt and blind, through luxury of their parents, and can only, like invalids, act on the defensive." Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-82) U.S. writer, poet, philosopher "Conservatism offers no redress for the present, and makes no preparation for the future." Benjamin Disraeli British Leader I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." Thomas Jefferson Inscribed on his memorial.
