I really like my garmin 430. Voice pronunciation of street names, 6 million locations (points of interest/businesses/parks/gas stations/etc...) quick calculation of routes, bright screen, etc... I don't see how you can go wrong with it. I've had mine two months and have had no problems. Good luck.
I really like the Lowrance IWAY 250c. Its small, goes from car to car with no problems,(just plug it in your lighter) it even works while walking (with built in battery). It has voice prompts, maps, ect... The only thing I wanted (not needed) with it was an external antenna. Plus its very inexpensive.
GARMIN c340 it works great and make sure it has a suction cup for you car it is the best!
