How can I convince my mom to let me buy video games that involve killing people?
O-kay... So... I'm fourteen, almost fifteen, and I have really leniant parents. They give me a lot of freedom, but restrict me from this one thing. My mom won't let me buy any video games that allow you to kill human beings in it.
She's not super strict about it, though. She trusts me not to go and get them on my own, which I won't, and she doesn't start rummaging through all my games or some crap looking for 'em. She just tells me not to, and expects me to listen. She also lets me get games that involve you killing things that aren't human, such as Resident Evil and stuff.
So, anyway, I was just wonderin' if you guys could help me out, and give me some advice on how to convince her to let me play these kind of games.
Thanks!

((P.S.: Assassin's Creed is pretty much what made me wanna go against this enough to argue with her, if that's important. xP))

- WTF. Resident evil is one of the bloodiest games, involving zombies. But you can't get a game like Call of Duty where you kill people, and there is no blood? WTF. My parents don't let me have games that are "ultra violent" or you kill hookers (GTA series) But they don't mind if its game where you kill humans. Thats stupid. No offense to your mom, but its still stupid. Murdering aliens is okay, but its never okay to kill a human.
- the best way i would say is to prove to her that you know they are virtual reality, and that you are mature enough to play them without having thoughts about killing people. and im not familiar with assassins creed, i play counterstrike.
- tell her that they are muslim terrorists that you are killing
- Ask her to rent one for a day. Let her play.
- just secretly get one or 2 w/e amount ud like by the time she finds them she wont care just dont try to argue any time before gettin them
- Maybe try only purchasing games that give you the role as a cop or special forces. games like Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Tomb Raider, or any of the army games involve you to be for the good guys, so to speak. I would use that for your arguement. Stay away from Grand Theft Auto, Hitman, or the Godfather. Basically your mafia/gang style games.
