Why do people invent video games?
I mean really sure we love playing them but who invented the first video game? And why did they do it. I mean we had the atari system with games in it and we didn't have to buy video games for thirty dollars. And some video games make people so mad they curse or punch a hole into something. I am not saying that video games are bad I am fond of them to it's just that why did the first person to invent a video game make one?

- Most people believe Pong was the first game, but in reality, there was a missle defense game created first that I cannot remember the name of. Video games were created for entertainment pleasure.
- Video games were invented for pass time like the Television and it's a great social gathering atmosphere when a group of friends both male or female get together and just plain simple have fun. So to me the invention of video games is normal.
- all i know is that the first video game invented was pong. some guy got the idea that instead of board games he could utilize the new television to play games on it and ta-da! video games were born.

- I think a guy called Ralph Bayer or something, invented videogames. Space war was theh first videogame.
