Do Video games influence teens to become violent?

Im doing a report and I needed to survey how many people BASED ON EXPERIANCE WITH VISEO GAMES believe that video games influence teens to do the things in games such as murder, sex, language, drugs and so on. I'm mainly asking this about M rated games such as Fable (which may be bad but it is AWSOME), Doom, or Grand Theft Auto(any one). Please only answer if you have played video games because the people that say that games are bad and never have played them are baseing it on what they want and not from what they know. (I guess if you watch them alot or something that works too.) Thank you

  1. it does not influence someone to become violent, however if someone already is violent it may offer them a release which they may become used to and lash out violently when they no longer have that release. violent people need to keep playing video games so they won't interact with the rest of the world.
  2. I own a XBOX and have every Grand Theft Auto and numerous other games. I do not believe that video games make a difference what so ever as to how people act. It's the influence and enviroment around theem that causes violence and so on. However, I do not reccomend young children to play games such as GTA because of the language and sexual content. Children pick up on so many behavorial issues from observance.
  3. Depending on who they are and how much they play, and what games they play, it can. There were 3 teens who played Grand Theft auto San andreas very often, and in it you kill a lot, and they went out and killed an old lady, to see what doing it for real was like. But I play violent games (noot like GTA, though) and it hasnt made me more violent.
