how are video games helpful?

I am doing a project on video game addiction. I have come to see that there can be some beneficial parts of video games. Those of you who play video games, are there any good things you can get out of video games? besides like handeye coordination. i am looking for something like if your family plays it that can be your family time or you can make friends by playing with the same people online

  1. In addition to improvement of manual motor skills, "Gamer's", on average, intake 12 hours of visual/audio/mental stimulation a day. This is according to the double-blind tests conducted at ScainBurn Yard in Scottland. While American Gamers are playing more violence oriented games, InternationGameCorp, IGC, are producing less and less of that, and in turn are interlacing eye-hand exercises into the understructure of even the most offensive, mind numming games.
  2. well during the cut scenes of some games they may talk about something that you didn't know, and explain it. Or they may say certain words and explain what it is etc...God of war....talked about greek mythology. gran turismo is a real driving sim game and can help you learn and understand more about cars by playing carrer mode.
  3. for me its kinda like a stress reliever and its a way to getaway from the world
  4. some make you get away from real life so you forget about your problems and you can take your anger out on it
  5. From personal experience, its a stress reliever, it can help you understand educational concepts (like the economic concept of trade-offs), multiplayer games can bring family/friends together, or create new friends online, as well as stimulate the imagination in young gamers. Most importantly, however, video games are better for you than tv. By playing video games instead of watching tv, you are able to keep your mind focused and learning, as opposed to being a vegetable in front of the tv.
