Do video games cause people to be violent? Do subliminal messages in games cause people to think a certain way
Does Tetris through really cause people to become communists? Do games like DooM and Quake influence kids to shoot people? How about games such as GTA, do they teach people to have sex and beat up women?
What do you think? Do the things people say about video games infliuencing behavior have any merit?
*Does Tetris through subliminal messages make... (that's what I meant to say, sorry for typo)

- If the parents aren't smart even to tell their children not to do stupid stuff then they should be shot.
- I think so. I don't know about violence but... well, I have funny story actually. I had a friend who loved the Tetris theme song (Song A) and looked up information about the song on Google. He found out that it was an actual Russian song called the "Korobeiniki" and it was sung by the Russian Red Army Choir. He ended up buying thier CD and eventually he became a huge fan of the Red Army Choir. Well eventually, what happened he began to really get into the whole Communism thing, looking up information on it and all and not before long he started to call himself a communist and started using various communist themed nicknames on the internet. I don't know how serious he was about it but still that damn Tetris made him a commie! LOL!!
- Like they say Guns dont kill people.... people kill people.... I think its not what you see, Its what you do. Its called FREEWILL
- I believe it can sway the mind. Especially and immature or deranged mind.
- Do movies, or rock and roll? Only drugs can take a normal healthy person and turn them into a crazy bastard.
- I know for me video games are a stress relief that prevent me from doing violent actions that I may do if I didn't play. It just really depends on the person. Some people are just plain dumb. Their actions can be influenced by anything.
- Tetris was invented by a Russian, sure. But my father loves Tetris, and he certainly isn't a communist. He's a moderate Liberal. Games sometimes cause people to be violent, but the link between game violence and real violence is circumstantial at best. I think that what's important is the mindset to understand that it's just a game and is not intended to reflect reality. But some people have difficulty with that notion. Games do warp your mind, but they don't do any damage that hasn't already been done -- you'd have to have a mindset to allow yourself to be warped in order for it to really affect you. I find many of today's mega-hits to be too disturbing, and I don't understand the entertainment value in them. It seems that when you see blood coming from a real body, it stays with you for a long time. I am supposedly old enough to play "M" rated games, I just choose not to and prefer to collect the old classics. To some people, games may become much like a digital "drug", but in moderation, games are okay, assuming you don't have the mindset to be warped by them. The really scary thing is that everything these days is rated "T" or "M" and only appeals to these "gamers" The game companies often bury their heads in the sand and pretend they're not aware that people can be warped by these games and end up doing some pretty dangerous things. In simple, we must not forget that it's just a game, indeed.
