- Most free MMORPGs are horribly repetitve once you get halfway in the game. Maplestory for one is VERY limited, the quests seem more of a bother than a fun thing to do, and once you get into the level 40s and 50s, you'll be killing 7k+ monsters to level up. Runescape has a lot of things to do, but the game isn't bright enough. It just looks boring to play once you've tried a bright game like Maplestory, but there are much more things to do in RuneScape.
