How plotting GPS data on digital map in web page like vechile tracking?

I want to visualised GPS navigational coordinates (Logitude/ Latitude) over a map and accessible through the internet.I am working in Java/J2EE technolgy.So I want to know the techniqe to plot the GPS data on the map.This project is like vechile tracking project.

1. Well, if you mean like a GPS is planted in a car, it could take quardnets every 20 seconds or something like that, you can upload that to a computer and plot the quardnets on a map....
