Anyone know anything about tracking someone's location via GPS on a cell phone?
Hi, my friend is going through a bitter divorce. We're pretty sure her ex-husband was tracking her location via GPS on their Sprint business cell phone account. Does anyone know anything about this? If so, can you possibly help us find proof that this has occurred. We have searched the bills but don't see anything glaringly obvious.

Assuming money and hassle is no problem for this person, and they did in fact purchase these items, how would one go about getting proof that this has occurred?
And yes, this person is quite the snake as someone elegantly put it.

- Im pretty sure that only the CIA and FBI are capable of that kind of intellegence....unless he works for either of them..
- Talk to the police, that would totally count as stalking if it is possible.
- The account holder just has to call the service provider and have the service activated. Also, in her menu switch the GPS setting to emergencies only.
- Does her ex husband work for Sprint? If not, it is unlikely that he could track her using her cellular phone. The reason I say this is because it's a hassle. Someone who works there can get tower-by-tower info on the phones usage. If not, then you'd need a GPS receiver, AS WELL AS a type of calling plan from Sprint that would integrate maps/tracking info, and allow it to be sent to the receiver. Oh, I guess he could hack into Sprint's system, too, but unless he's a professional at this, he's probably been arrested by now.
- if his name is on it he can learn certain things but,he can't track usin G.P.S.he can clone the phone which is proably what he did.the only ones that are allowed to track G.P.S is law enforcement. Cloning means he knows every call she gets and makes ,it's like your little brother listening in on the phone in the kitchen while you're on the phone in the front room.If you don't mind me saying the guy sounds like a snake
- Sprint does provide GPS tracking you might have to call sprint customer service to get proof or something in writing from them because it will not show up on the bill. This is a new service provided by Sprint not only on business accounts but personal accounts also. The locator is in the phone the person who is tracking you can go to map quest put in your phone number and your location will show up on map quest I dont know if the exact address shows up but it does tell the person the area you are in.
