Call the manufacturer and give them the serial number they will be able to tell you how to disable it.
I am not very sure about your question. GPS is meant for tracking your position. If you don't want it to track your position, just turn it off. I don't know whether you wanted to know this. I used a GPS tracking device earlier and it always tracked my route correctly, if it is on. And it helped me in tracking back home every time. Even the distances shown in the device for particular land mark is correct up to meters.
