Where can I get a great GPS system for my car? Not so expensive...?
Please point me in the direction of some inexpensive ones.
I don't want the GPS you have to download from the computer. I would like the one that connects via satellite.
Please advise of a great name brand GPS. I know nothing of these GPS systems.

- best buy or radioshack
- maybe u can go to car shows. there must be sections where you can see the companies exhibiting their GPS system products. ask the sales person.
- You can get a gps for your car at many locations just make sure you get a sales person that knows what their talking about. I use a Garmin etrex c I can use in my vehicle and hiking. www.garmin.com is a good sight, you can search for all kinds of gps units. Hope this helps.
- Costco had a decent GPS unit for $700 not too long ago. Built in maps for North America
- You're in luck, I happen to know exactly what you're looking for. You want to buy a Garmin Streepilot 2610- it is AWESOME. Garmin doesn't make in anymore (because they have newer models which are pretty expen$ive) but you can easily find one on line- www.gpsnow.com, www.ebay.com, www.gpsguys.com, etc. Or just do a google search. Whatever you do, make sure you buy a Garmin Streetpilot like this one (or newer version) because they are the best!!! Very easy to use, and inexpensive- unless you want to buy the newest one. The newer ones have all kinds of features that you don't need, like XM Radio, etc. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at ASLANARIAS@YAHOO.COM Also, go to www.garmin.com to find out about all their products. I have a friend who just bought a refurbished 2620 Streetpilot for $400- and it came with a 1 year warranty. Good luck!
