how do you work the gps on a cell phone to track down someone to where they are at? Thanks?
my newphew ran away and I know he has the gps on his phone so how do I get that to work ? It is suppose to tell me where he is at > Please help ! Thank you

If he has made a call from his phone his service provider can tell you the call made from ........... And thats another way to track him.
Most of the time you have to have permissions set on the handset. Sprint offers a family locator service. Try this, if you dont have Sprint then check with your service provider.
I sympathise but surely only the authorities could help you. It would be a scary world if we could all had that kind of power.
You'll have to go to the police, they can track it by sattelite.. If he knows about the GPS and he doesn't want to be found he probably turned his phone off. They can't locate it if it's not on.
It its a nextell phone, then you can add the locator service to your plan. It is often used by business to find coordinate dispatches. It costs 15 dollars and you be able to get real time maps from your home computer.
