Can you suggest me a USA Car GPS device which can be loaded with European maps too.?

I am shopping for a GPS device (stand-alone or PDA) and am looking for something which can be used in USA regularly and also be loaded with European maps and used in Europe (something handy to carry around). Can you please tell me the make and model of the GPS device. Also, how much would it cost to get the European maps!!

I own a Tom Tom, and it has that capability.
The Garmin Nuvi series would come preloaded with the US maps, is hand held, and can be used with Europe maps. All of their other street models can as well be used with Europe maps, but you can not really carry them around
