Good GPS units for car?

What are some good in-car, easy-to-use, inexpensive GPS units that speak directions to a driver? I plan to use it mostly in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

  1. I just recently purchased a Tom Tom unit. I must say that it is better than any of the other GPS units that I looked at. It can even connect to the internet using a Bluetooth phone to get traffic updates and weather! None of the other units even come close to the features and ease-of-use that this one has.
  2. the best car unit by far is the garmin 2620 or the newer unit available. the only drawback is the price, but still you also get what you pay for.
  3. I received a Mio 168RS for christmas, and it is beautiful. It comes preloaded with all US maps and Canada (except for Alaska). The unit looks like a standard Pocket PC, but it is very small and slim. It has a small GPS antenna on it and it comes with everything to mount it in the car. It comes with a pricetag of around $350 though tigerdirect.com (After $50 rebate). The GPS feed can be used in other software programs, if you prefer a specific one.
