Does anyone have a recommendation on a car GPS?
I don't need all the extra stuff, like an MP3 player, etc.

- mann if u just looking for a portable gps for ur car u should get garmin nuvi 350 the best gps for the car but little pricey
- Look at the Garmin "StreetPilot" line -- the c3xx family is very reliable and doesn't have all the foo-foo features that cost more.
- Products made by Garmin are generally well made, well engineered and well supported. I have the iQue M3, which uses the same software as standalone units. It's been exceptionally reliable for me, and spot on about 90% to 95% of the time.
- yea i really would not get one unless you travel alot
- Consumer Reports ran an article back in July 06 during which the Garmin Nuvi 350 came out on top. Followed close by the Magellan Radmate 760 and the Garmin Streetpilot 2730. The Garmin StreetPilot i5 took 6th place, but was a Consumer Reports (r) Best Buy (TM) at only $350 (half the price of the 5 higher rated models. Six months have passed and ALL of these models are sure to have changed not only in price, but newer improved models have surely emerged. Personally, I plan on getting a Garmin Nuvi 350 or 360. If money is no problem, go with the Garmin 660...around $750 (MSRP is nearly $1000).
