Can I write my GPS system off on taxes?
I just bought a GPS system. I'm a home health registered nurse. i visit patients in their own home. that's mainly why i bought it. of course i'll use it for other activities as well. can i write it off as a business expense?

- If you were audited, I think it would be difficult to explain to the IRS why you needed a GPS system to find your patients. A city map or asking for directions should work. But, you can check with a tax professional.
- The answer before is correct, to a point. It also depends if you have a GPS system, or a navigation system. The GPS system you can not. The navigation system you can, only if you claim a vehicle and milage for the vehicle. It then becomes a device used for business matters. I would check your local tax law.
