will GPS with USA maps work in non map areas like Pakistan-eg Garmin iQue 3600?
will I be able to get lat/long and tracks like with my magellan 315 without the software of Pakistan

The satelites cover the whole planet, without the maps all you will see is a white area with no detail.
u will be able to get lat/long and do simple things as "go to" but it wil be displayed on a blank screen and not on a map. sorry
yes. I am currently in germany and i wasn't bothered to download the maps. i also have a garmin and it works perfectly. the only prob is that you cannot navigate through the roads. but otherwise it is great.
It will work perfectly fine. You'll be able to track everything, as you normally would, the only difference will be that you won't have the background maps for Pakistan displayed on the screen. One thing to note when you load it up is that it will take a while upon the first time you power it up in Pakistan. That's because the system will need to determine where it is. It looks for satellites based on where it thinks it is to speed up the boot time of the system. When you move to a place that's significantly far from where you normally load it up, it takes some additional time to 'find' itself before it starts providing you data (usually a minute or two). Have fun in Pakistan.
